President Lanette Leasure called the meeting to order with members repeating the Opening Ritual together. The meeting was held at Lifeway Fellowship Church.
Roll Call: Recording Secretary Beverly Davis took roll call.

Minutes of the April 18, 2019 meeting were emailed and copied for tonight’s meeting.
Any corrections? None.
Minutes were accepted as received.
Communication from International: 1st Vice President – Membership – Marjorie Waddell had no new names.
Transfers or Status Changes:
Peggy Wells, Xi Alpha Sigma, going member at large.
Drena Nitschke, Xi Alpha Sigma, moved and going member at large.
Other Communication / Sunshine: 2nd Vice President – Brenda Graham, announced that the next City Council meeting will be June 6, 2019 at Lifeway Fellowship Church. This will be the annual Salad Supper beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Announcements:
Before the meeting began, Brenda Graham presented Art Thomas with a gift for his service to set up our meeting room each month.
Becky Stevens won the door prize tonight provided by the host chapter.
Card was read from Nancy Tanner in gratitude for being selected our Woman of the Year.
Chapter anniversaries this month are Alpha Phi Omega, Xi Alpha Sigma, Xi Rho Lambda and Preceptor Omicron Zeta.
Corresponding Secretary – Kelli Weaver passed a list for courtesies.
Sherrye Mosley, Preceptor Lambda Iota, husband and mother passed away.
Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer Petra Williams presented the following report:

Treasurer’s report accepted and filed for audit.
Lana Harm presented bills for $221.00 for Founder’s Day expenses; Brenda Graham presented bills for $50.00 and $44.50 for gift card for Art Thomas and President’s Pin respectively.
Motion was made by Faye Spencer and seconded by Loy Haley to pay these bills. Motion passed. Treasurer will pay the bills.
Yearbook – Nancy Nickles – Pages for the 2019-20 yearbook were handed out to be revised by each chapter. Bring back to next meeting.
Contact – Cheryl Kordes -- a reminder was sent.

Committee Reports:
Woman of the Year Tea – Bonnie Siebenthal—No report.
Fall Rituals – Gwen Murphy – No report.

Founder’s Day – Lana Harm/Faye Spencer – Lana gave a summary report. It was a successful event.
Scrapbook – Kay Durbin – Pages are due tonight.
City Wide Project – Compassion’s Gate – Preceptor Omicron Zeta – Janne Lawrence. No report.
Style Show –Xi Iota Pi – May 4, 2019. Theme is “May the Fourth Be With You”. Everything is ready for Saturday!
Publicity – article was turned in to Globe News regarding Founder’s Day.
Unfinished business:
A roll call vote was taken for the 2019-20 City-Wide Project between Hope Lives Here and 7 Star Therapeutic Riding Center.
Hope Lives Here will be our City-Wide Project for 2019-20.
Friendship Gathering – Lana Harm went over discussion from the formative meeting. Next meeting is May 31, 2019 @ 2:00 p.m.
By-law and Constitution cleanup was signed by the officers and submitted to International.
New Business:
Installation of 2019-20 City Council Officers was held. Lanette also was presented with her President’s pin and gift from the board. She also gave gifts to her board and committee chairs.
President Lanette Leasure asked if there was any further business to be brought before the council. None presented.
The meeting was adjourned, and all members stood and repeated the Closing Ritual and joined hands for the Mizpah.
